New data has revealed Adelaide’s most lucrative speed camera locations, with the South Eastern Freeway at Leawood Gardens topping the list raking in an incredible $4.8 million in fines over the past year.
The stretch of freeway, known for catching drivers descending into the city, recorded more than $4.8 million in penalties, making it South Australia’s most profitable speed camera.
In second place was Tapleys Hill Road at West Beach, with fines exceeding $2 million, followed by West Lakes Boulevard at West Lakes with just over $1 million.
Other hotspots across the city included Goodwood Road (Pasadena and Goodwood), Montague Road at Ingle Farm, Prospect Road, and Grange Road at Kidman Park each contributing hundreds of thousands in fines.
Drivers are being urged to stay alert, with fixed and mobile speed cameras across Adelaide continuing to catch thousands of drivers every month.
